Previously the Office of the Governor-General during Japanese rule, the Presidential Office Building and its surrounding open space are now a national historic site.
The building is five stories tall with an 11-story high (about 60-meters) central tower, giving it an imposing presence.
The Office of the President ( OOP ) has taken the plum blossom, our national flower, as its emblem, which appears on official OOP documents and items.
